Summary
A seminar on marketing was held in Nizhny Novgorod for representatives from VNIIEF in Sarov as part of CNCP's efforts to identify projects with commercial potential for grant funding. VNIIEF scientists and technicians have a number of potential commercial projects under development, which were discussed in the course of the workshop. Concrete feedback was provided to VNIIEF representatives about ways they could further develop the marketing of several of their technologies.
The workshop also included formal training sessions where the basic principles of market research were outlined. The training specifically focused on the steps a company needs to take to bring a new product successfully to market. In addition, a number of business development case studies were presented to demonstrate how a company utilizes feedback from its marketing research to further develop its technology to better meet market demand.
