The CNCP Director Trevor Hayward from UK DTI, the British Embassy Naval Attache Garry Newton, the project manager for the AMEC programme on alternative technologies for submarine decommissioning Tommy Green from Nukem, two Royal Navy experts on water-jetting and Christopher Watson from CNCP took part in a successful demonstration of the advanced water-jetting submarine hull cutting technology developed by VNIITF scientists under a CNCP grant aided project. The British visitors and Zvezdochka representatives were satisfied with the results. Zvezdochka managers confirmed their interest in using the equipment for the cutting of the outer hull plus rubber tiling under the DTI funded submarine decommissioning programme.
