Discussion of projects implemented in Seversk at the meeting in Tomsk, April 2007

In Tomsk, where ZATO Seversk is, working meetings took place from 3 till 5 April on the implemented and new projects planned for implementation in the city. The following projects were on the agenda:

  • Manufacture of furniture facades from MDF boards with capacity of 96,000 sq.m. per year ("Manufacture of MDF facades in ZATO Seversk") by OOO SeverskMebel.
  • "Production of Egg Boxes from Recycled Paper in Seversk" by OOO JOULE-S.
  • Construction of Oil Processing Mini-Plant with Annual Production Capacity of 10 000 Tons in ZATO Seversk" by OOO Gorod.
  • "Establishment of Ceramics Production in Seversk" by OOO Tekhkerama.
  • "Setting up Seversk Business Development Agency".
  • "Construction of a liquefied and compressed natural gas plant" by OOO TomskKrioGas.
  • "Production of DNA diagnostics equipment Seversk on the real-time basis" by OOO Biomedsib.
  • "Setting up a plant to produce set-top boxes for signal digitalization".
  • "Establishment of thin-film heating elements production" by OOO Sibovar.
  • "Setting up plasma coating metal working Centre" by OOO Electrochemistry.
  • "Extension of the clothes factory" by OOO Maria.

The results of the collaboration were summarized at the meeting of "Seversk Business Development Agency" Board of trustees which consists of the representatives from the Administrations of Seversk and Tomskaya region, the leaders of Siberian Chemical Kombinat (SCK) and HTSPE, which manages the CNCP Programme.

Director of "BDA-Seversk" Alexander Krupin reported to Board of trustees on the progress done. Prospects for the Agency development, which is the CNCP Coordinator in Seversk, were discussed at the meeting. A proposal for funding BDA-Seversk in 2007-2010 is being developed at present. The proposal will be considered by the CNCP Steering Group in July 2007. Seversk leadership promised to consider the opportunity of including operating costs of the BDA-Seversk in the city budget.

There were discussed the issues of development of the city infrastructure for attraction of entrepreneurs, allocation premises for investment projects implementation, participation of former SCC employees in share capital of companies which are set up through CNCP financial support.

During the discussion it was made the suggestion to organize a seminar for businessmen and specialists from Federal Sate Unitary Enterprise (FSUE) SCK on "Commercialization of business ideas, scheme of interaction of BDA, CNCP and banks related to investment projects implementation".
