CNCP visits to Snezhinsk and Ozersk, November 2006
Official visits by CNCP representatives to ZATO Snezhinsk and Ozersk took place from 29 October to 3
November. They were aimed at controlling the implementation of ongoing projects and discussing new
joint projects. CNCP experts and project managers evaluated newly created production lines.
In Snezhinsk, the CNCP team met Mikhail Zheleznov, the Mayor of the city, Olga Lapteva, his Deputy on
finances and economy, Vyacheslav Kotov, Executive Administrator of Administration, Boris Vodolaga, Deputy
Director of federal nuclear centre of VNIITF. Beside the issues related to implementation of joint projects
they also discussed CNCP participation in development of the strategic development plan of ZATO Snezhinsk.
In Ozersk the CNCP delegation visited production facilities where joint projects are being implemented
and new jobs have been created. They had meetings with City Administration represented by Eduard Shovkun,
Deputy Mayor on economic development of the Ozersk region. The delegation also had a meeting with
management of PO "Mayak" represented by Vladimir Malkov. The main issues discussed at the meeting were
marketing research for the project of creation of Business Development Agency (BDA) in Ozersk on the
basis of the similar agency in Seversk, which was established with CNCP support. Charles Monck, British
economic development expert, was appointed CNCP Project supervisor of BDA-Ozersk.
