New projects approved for funding by the CNCP Steering Group June 2006


The following projects were approved for funding by the CNCP Steering Group on 23 June 2006:

Seversk:

  • Establishment of a company offering energy saving services at the Seversk Business Development Agency.
  • Production of egg boxes from recycled paper by "Joule-S" Ltd, ZATO Seversk.

Sarov:

  • Setting up production lines for renewable natural biomass recycling by "EcoTechnologies" Ltd.
  • Developing the market for pultruded products and pultrusion equipment in Russia, by the International Relation Support Foundation of VNIIEF.
  • Setting up full-scale production of rehabilitation appliances on the basis of Automatic Control Systems (ACS), Vita Ltd.

Zheleznogorsk:

  • Expansion of gold jewellery production, Siberian Jewellery Works.

Kharkov:

  • Finishing technology and organization of manufacturing biosoluble in vivo stents made of UFG magnesium alloys, National Science Centre, Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology.

On the basis of outline proposals the following new projects were given preliminarily approval. Following marketing research, business plans will be developed before full proposals are submitted to the next Steering Group meeting:

  1. The manufacture of X- and gamma-ray detectors from semiconductor compounds CdTe (CdZnTe), National Science Centre, Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology.
  2. Commercialisation of 109Cd isotope production at the cyclotron in INP NNC RK, Institute of Nuclear Physics Kazakhstan, Almaty.
  3. Marketing research and preparation of a business plan to set up facilities for processing and storage of radioactive wastes, Institute of Nuclear Physics in Kurchatov, Kazakhstan.
  4. A new laboratory for the manufacture of rigid gas-permeable astigmatic and soft silicon-hydrogel contact lenses, by an individual entrepreneur, Snezhinsk.
  5. Manufacture of forged Items, by an individual entrepreneur, Snezhinsk.
  6. Production of multifunctional low-temperature plasma sterilisers with ultrasonic cavitations, National Science Centre, Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology.
  7. Establishment of borehole filter production, Institute of Atomic Energy of National Nuclear Centre, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kurchatov.
  8. Production and sale of aluminophosphate foundry crucibles, "Paul+" Ltd., Seversk.
  9. Recycling of fluoranhydrite into construction materials, Business Development Agency, Seversk.
  10. Production of thermo-print paper, "DataKrat-Vostok" Ltd., Zheleznogorsk.
  11. Purchase of polymeric sheet production equipment, Closed Corporation "TechPolimer", Zheleznogorsk.
  12. Setting up a production facility for pyrolized hard-fuel boilers 15 - 100 KWt, Closed Corporation "DOM", Snezhinsk.
  13. Expansion of production of an automatic control, monitoring and diagnostics system IT14 for NPP, "Scientific and Production Enterprise "Measuring Technologies" Ltd., Sarov.
  14. Production of ceramic components using nanopowders, FSUE Siberian Chemical Kombinat, Seversk.
  15. Production of high-purity silicon tetrafluoride from SCK waste streams, FSUE Siberian Chemical Kombinat, Seversk.
