On 13-14 November a visit to the Joint Institute for Power and Nuclear Research (JIPNR) - Sosny, Minsk (Belarus)
was organized for CNCP delegates.
The CNCP experts visited the sites planned for implementation of two projects which are now at the market research
stage and the project "Facility for detecting nitrosamines" approved in October 2008.
Besides, a visit was organized to the electron accelerator UELB-10-10 and gamma facility UGU-420. During the visit the delegates discussed
progress of market research and business planning activity on the projects "Establishment of a water analysis and treatment centre" and
"Improvement of safety of sealed sources on the basis of Cesium-137 by using additional capsulation", and initiated preparation of a
contract with ISTC on the project "Facility for detecting nitrosamines".
Also, during the visit there were discussed concepts of new projects of JIPNR - Sosny which have commercial potential.
