Title

Expansion of the cabinet furniture production.
Objectives

In the framework of the project it is planned to undertake refurbishment of the premises, purchase additional equipment and starting a new production, and also to implement a specila marketing policy in Zheleznogorsk and Krasnoyarsk with the purpose to increase the production and sales volume, improve the quality and competitiveness of manufacture products.
Summary

Kardinal was created in 2003 and has since been manufacturing and selling housing furniture in Zheleznogorsk, where it became a well-known manufacturer thanks to a good market presence and aggressive advertising policies. Recently, Kardinal has started selling furniture in Krasnoyarsk.

The project involved a production capacity increase in the context of growing sales in recent years. The working plan included two major steps:

  1. Purchase of equipment to increase output volumes and to enlarge the range of furniture produced.
  2. Manufacture of furniture for social sphere entities (schools, kindergartens, and hospitals).

A final audit of the project proved that the Beneficiary's obligations for job creation were fulfilled. All the planned jobs have been created (40 jobs /22 for ex-nuclear workers).

The project is considered to have been completed successfully.

Cost

Total cost of the project is £348,000. The DECC's contribution is £188,000.
