The aim of the project was to establish the production of, and to market, fire-resistant
aluminium composite fa?ade panels on Alukom's Zheleznogorsk production site.
As a consequence of the company's mid-term sales and production plans, the company managed to
purchase and launch a new production line for aluminium composite fa?ade panels, which is being used
for the production of fire-resistant panels (Russian flammability category G1). Composite panels are
composed of seven layers of different materials on two sides of a high-pressure polyethylene base
(2-3 mm), an aluminium sheet (0,2 to 0,5 mm), an adhesive coating made of high-pressure
polyethylene, a grounding layer, another aluminium sheet (0,2 to 0,5 mm), a working coating made of
polyester on one side, a surface coating of polyvinyl fluoride (PVDF) and a protection film (to be
peeled off after the fa?ade is installed).
A final audit of the project proved that the Beneficiary's obligations for job creation were
overfulfilled (73 jobs /29 for ex-nuclear workers created vs 55 /30 planned initially).
The project is considered to have been completed successfully.
