Practical Outcomes of project "Manufacture of protective multi-layer polyethylene pipes for communication cables"As a result of this project’s implementation, serial manufacture of multi-layer polyethylene tubes for installation and modernization of optic communication lines will be developed. The method is based on application of polymeric tubes and will make cable laying more effective and reliable. The main idea is either to initially lay the cables in the tubes or put the tubes underground and then draw the communication cables through the tubes afterwards. In this case, it is possible to use cheaper, unprotected cables, since a polymeric tube ensures additional protection. A large company, OJSC Svyazstroy-5 from Chelyabinsk, is the main customer. Extrusion equipment was procured through the project; a production facility is being reconstructed; the technology is being optimised according to the customers’ requirements. | |
