The main objective of the project is to set up a production facility in Snezhinsk to manufacture high-tech metal-cutting tools. The project will:

• Aim to meet 20% of Urals market in high-tech metal-cutting tools.
• Create 18 new jobs, 11 of them former employees of RFNC-VNIITF.

UralPromComplect runs a successful business in the Urals region. It distributes metal-cutting equipment and associated components, and offers engineering services for the installation and maintenance of metal-cutting equipment and components. The Urals is a particularly industry-intensive part of Russia. Of the market for metal cutting equipment in Russia, more than 20% lies in the Urals. Over 90% of metal cutting equipment is imported, mainly from Europe, with some cheaper and lower quality equipment also coming from China and Belarus. UralPromComplect has recognised an opportunity for a Urals-based, manufacturer to access this market, producing high quality, domestically-manufactured metal cutting goods.

Final audit showed that the Beneficiary had fulfilled all of its obligations in full. Job creation were over fulfilled (18 jobs /12 for former employees of VNIITF created vs 18/11 planned).

The project has been been completed successfully.
