Practical Outcomes of Project Realization

Title

Production of scenery equipment.
Objectives

- To finalise the product features of Lyra and Scroller so that they meet international standards and international users' expectations and become competitive on the Russian and other markets.

- To modernise Sistema's manufacturing facilities in Sarov in order to start serial production of the Lyra and Scroller products where quality meets customer demands.

- Marketing and sales of Sistema's products in Russia, the CIS and other target markets.

- To create 9 new jobs in Sarov, including 7 for former employees of RFNC VNIIEF.
Summary

istema, one of the leading manufacturers of scenery equipment in Russia, was created in Sarov in 1989.The aim of the project was to develop and market new scenery equipment on the basis of products that are already part of Sistema's product range: the Lyra and the Scroller. The company plans to:

  1. finalise the product features of Lyra and Scroller so that they meet international standards and international users' expectations and become competitive on Russian and other markets;
  2. modernise Sistema's manufacturing facilities in Sarov in order to start serial production of the Lyra and Scroller products while meeting customers' demands with regard to quality;
  3. develop further Marketing and sales system for Sistema's products in Russia, the CIS and other target markets.

Final audit proved that the Beneficiary fulfilled all of its obligations in full. The job creation obligations were over fulfilled (9/8 jobs for former employees of VNIIEF created vs 9/7 planned initially).

The project has been completed successfully.

Cost

Total cost of the project is £175,9900. The DECC is funding a contribution of £99,800.
