Completed projectSarovTheatre stage equipment
Overall cost of project – £ 175 990 The purpose of the project was to extend the model range and to launch serial production of assemblies of remotely controlled projectors («Lira») and a remote colour filter changer («Scroller»). The project was implemented by Sarov-based Sistema Ltd in the period from March 2006 to March 2009. «Lira» – is a U-shaped stand for lighting equipment, which makes it possible to direct and to turn on and off a projector during a performance with the help of a remote control device. «Scroller», is a remotely controlled device, permitting the deployment of a sequence of coloured filters on a projector. The project improved the technology and the performance characteristics of «Lira» and «Scroller» to world market standards, improved production competitiveness, modernized the company’s production facilities and increased the output of the products concerned. The project involved high precision mechanics and electronics specialists using appropriate, high technology automated equipment. Its implementation led to the creation of jobs for engineering project managers, designers and highly qualified workers. Sistema Ltd was established in Sarov in 1989 and became the leading producer of theatre stage equipment in Russia. Its development was
helped both by external factors (a vacant niche for high quality stage equipment), and by its own efforts: through planned improvement of
technology, analysis of the Russian and foreign markets, certification, and the reinvestment of earnings into the business.
