Plan

The project objective is to establish an economically viable enterprise manufacturing semi-rigid pneumatic rehabilitation protheses including automated control systems intended for the limb rehabilitation of patients suffering traumas or paralysis and for a prophylactic approach towards diseases connected with the restriction of movement.

Widely used static rehabilitation systems do not ensure movements in jointures or muscle contraction and therefore cannot influence the peripheral hemodynamics in the affected extremity. The proposed systems not only allow jointure movement, which in itself guarantees a better and faster healing, but also provides for active rehabilitation exercises using air pressure to constrain and stimulate muscle activity.

According to the project, a production of such advanced devices will be established. The annual sales volume could reach 9 m RUR. Assuming a profitability of 15 %, the payback period will be 3 years.
