Khimstalkomplekt started work in the market for
energy saving and non standard equipment in 2003.
In 2007 a CNCP project began which aimed to create
a specialised factory to produce the KOSSET heat
exchange steam utiliser, which had been developed
by specialists in the company. The design introduced
a series of related innovations, which were protected
by a Russian patent.
KOSSET is a network mixing system heat exchanger,
which operates by injecting a jet of steam directly into a flow of
heated water. The energy in the steam is fully transferred to the
heated water, achieving a real efficiency of 99% and retaining this
energy through the whole cycle. In the course of three years, the
company fabricated and installed more than 80 heat exchangers,
which functioned successfully in enterprises in Estonia, Belarus,
Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Russia. The design of the KOSSET heat
exchanger was awarded gold and silver medals and a whole series
of diplomas in international and regional exhibitions.
Thanks to CNCP’s involvement in the implementation of the
project, an entirely new, dynamic and developing element in the
company’s activities arose – the serial production of high technology
steam utilisers. The CNCP grant (£ 100,000) made possible the active
development of the project, and the recommendations of the
British experts helped the company to identify new ways of promoting
the products on the market. This turned out to be particularly
valuable in the post-crisis period. The total cost of the project was
about £ 260,000; 15 new jobs were created, of which 6 were for former
employees of the nuclear weapons facility. At present, the company
is preparing a strategic plan for the commercial promotion of its
products. The British side is also off ering a contribution to the cost
of implementing this plan.
Without any doubt, the impulse provided by working
together with CNCP specialists has helped the company to reach
a new level of quality.
