Objectives

  • Unification of business, supplemental, and analytical information about Zheleznogorsk.
  • Provision of additional advertising services to companies and entrepreneurs for promotion of their goods and services, search for and selection of business partners and marketplaces.
  • Presentation of the investment potential, which means the average level of investment activities and risks of Zheleznogorsk. Informing potential investors of business running peculiarities in the city and the region.
  • Search, selection and facilitation of civilian science-intensive productions, assistance with image forming provided to companies created under diversification programs including foreign international partnerships and initiatives.
  • Facilitation of establishing business links between city enterprises and entrepreneurs and regional enterprises and organizations.
  • Search and establishment of business links with foreign partners.
  • Unification of various useful information in one directory helping to any user or potential investor to easily obtain information regarding Zheleznogorsk.

Summary

The Zheleznogorsk International Development Centre (IDC), established under the US NCI programme, proposed to set up an integrated web portal for businesses to provide an improved range of information on the business environment. The web portal will be particularly relevant to Existing businesses who wish to promote their products and services within the City, the oblast and wider a field, and who also need information of local suppliers of goods and services; potential start ups that require a wide range of basic information about starting a business; External investors who need information about the economic, social and business conditions in Zheleznogorsk.

The web site will draw together a wide range of business orientated information such as general information on the city and the region, historical and geographic features of the city, economic and social statistics.

Cost

Total cost of the project is £11,100. The DTI is funding the total cost of the Project.

12 months - March 2005 to March 2006.
