On 5 April a monitoring visit of the CNCP delegation to the Joint Institute for Power and Nuclear Research (JIPNR) – Sosny, Minsk (Belarus) was organized. The CNCP experts visited sites where CNCP projects are being implemented. During the visit the progress on the following projects was discussed: "Measuring Device for Nitrosamines", "Water Treatment and Analysis Centre", "Radiation Treatment of Materials and Goods". A decision was made on the completion of all the projects being implemented. Also, the results of the completed project "Additional Encapsulation of Cs-137 Sealed Sources" were discussed.

At its meeting on March 2012, the Steering Group approved a group of Projects for Russia and CIS.

Study tour to Canada held as part of CNCP work funded by the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade involving leading representatives of Closed Cities and Institutes where Canadian funded CNCP projects are being implemented. The basic aim of the tour was to explore experience in collaboration between nuclear companies and organisations and government structures responsible for promoting innovation-based development.
